Tulum is a fun beach destination on the Caribbean coastline of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. It is known for its old Mayan history, fantastic nightlife scene, and beautiful beaches, making it a popular vacation destination. In this post I will show you my absolute favorite Tulum beachfront villa.
Just a little bit out of Tulum is the beautiful Sian Kaan Biosphere Reserve, home to thousands of species of flora and fauna. It was established in 1986 and became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. “Sian Ka’an” means “gate of heaven” or “a place where heaven begins” and it truly looks like it once you drive through the gates to enter Sian Kaan.
How to get there:
The entrance to Sian Kaan is at the end of the street Carretera Tulum- Punta Allen, or short: Beach Road Tulum. The beach road is where all the upscale hotels and exclusive resorts and nightclubs are.
Good to know:
There is usually a security guard at the entrance of Sian Kaan. The entrance fee is usually 200 pesos (10 USD) per vehicle/ scooter and 4-wheelers are not allowed.
Once you enter Sian Kaan and drive further down the jungle-lined road you arrive at the beautiful eco-luxury villa Casa Bautista. It is one of the most georgeous beachfront villas in Tulum.
The amazing people that work and live there will welcome you and the first thing you´ll see is the massive concrete spiral staircase. Once you go up you´ll enter the beautiful living space. The big doors slide open and connect indoor and outdoor living spaces. The living room has a big couch to relax and a huge dining table where you can gather with all your friends and family.
The massive kitchen allows you to prepare delicious dishes and if you don´t feel like cooking yourself, Casa Bautista offers a private chef to bring the flavors of Mexico’s cuisine to your table.
Casa Bautista has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and has space for up to 10 guests. My favorite room is the Main bedroom, which has a bathroom connected to it. This bathroom has a big round jacuzzi where you can relax and listen to the sound of nature.
There´s a little walkway down to the beach where you can spend fun afternoons and lay in the sun. Casa Bautista is a secluded paradise where you can be sure no one will disturb you while staying there. Public beaches can get very crowded in Tulum and Beach Clubs are expensive and have loud music. Staying in Sian Kaan is perfect if you want to enjoy peace and serenity.

My favorite part of Casa Bautista is the rooftop where you can enjoy 360 views of Sian Kaan. There is a massive swimming pool on the rooftop and there are outdoor showers and bathrooms.
When you look to the east you will see the beautiful Caribbean Sea where you can see incredible sunrises in the morning. On the west side, there is a beautiful lagoon where you can watch the most beautiful sunsets. If that wasn´t enough wait until it´s dark out to see the stars at night. There is no light pollution in Sian Kaan so you have a very clear view of the sky and you´ll be able to see a lot of shooting stars.
Staying at Casa Bautista is truly an incredible experience and the amazing people working there make the stay even better.
